Gabriella Hewitt
Meet Gabriella Hewitt!
Gabriella Hewitt is the pen name of creative writing talents Sasha Tomaszycki and Patrizia M.J. Hayashi. Together they weave tales of romantic suspense and dangerously sensual paranormals. Check out the website www.GabriellaHewitt.com to find out about upcoming releases and events
First question:
Eggnog or Mimosas? Are you old enough to drink?
Eggnog — Puerto Rican Style! Coquitos all around. Let’s get our rum punch on!
We’re also taking pictures with Santa, did you bring a gift for him? (Maybe a new release or a pretty book cover…)
Doesn’t every princess deserve a prince charming and their happily ever after?
Obviously not for Cuban-American Princess, Rosario Garcia, the eldest daughter of the Jersey City werewolves. The last minute thrown together gaudy nightmare was not how she pictured her wedding day and Rosario is not taking kindly to the forced marriage to the arrogant alpha wolf of Hoboken, NJ. Unfortunately, her choices are limited and the marriage necessary to unite the warring clans, but that can all change if she finds her missing uncle and fourteen million dollars. What’s a girl to do?
She has three choices:
1) Run-away and join the circus
2) Sell her kidney and other unnecessary body parts to raise millions of dollars
3) Call upon her fairy-godmother
When Rosario accepts the antique ceremonial dagger from her crazy, drunken fairy-godmother, Madrina Hady, as a wedding gift, she never in her wildest dreams figured it would be the key to escaping her impending wedding. Only now she is trapped in fairyland with Prince Charming! Normally she wouldn’t complain but he has declared war on werewolves and if she is not careful, she’ll end up in the dungeons too. Will she be able to solve the mystery behind her missing uncle and find a way out of fairyland to get back in time to stop her own clans from warring? Or will she be Charmed Ever After by Prince Charming?
Please enter. Drinks are served by the elves in the corner.
What’s your favorite holiday and why?
Patrizia: Favorite holiday is Christmas. Love the feeling of having time for the family and taking a break from the crazy daily grind of work and getting the kids out the door for school. Love the decorations, the carols and the holiday spirit.
Sasha: This is why we work so well together. Great minds think alike. Ditto!
Did you ask Santa for anything good?
Patrizia: Bought myself a Kindle cover, custom made with a strap so that I can hold it. Can’t wait to try it out. I always go overboard loading up on books. I’ll probably be buying lots of Kindle books over the holiday. Also, got a new handbag.
Sasha: An Amazon gift card fully loaded!
What’s your favorite place to spend the holidays?
Patrizia: It’s been a long time since I’ve experienced a white Christmas. I want the whole shebang—a fireplace, mugs of hot cocoa, and Christmas music in the background, while outside the snowflakes fall.
Sasha: Preferably some place tropical and warm but this year I’m opting for a winter wonderland. I’m going skiing with the family this year in Virginia at Massanutten, so it will definitely be a white Christmas for me. Then after hitting the slopes you can catch me drinking hot cocoa by the fireside and reading books on my Kindle.
What is your favorite Christmas memory?
Patrizia: It’s really hard to pick a favorite Christmas memory. One memory that sticks with me to this day is one of my earliest. We were at my great-grandparents’ house. I must’ve been 3 or so. My great-grandpa had built a big house on a lake. The ground floor had a huge family room, dining room and kitchen. It also had a bar and behind the bar was a door to a wine cellar. On Christmas morning, my great-grandpa rang a little bell. The door opened and a bicycle with training wheels came rolling out. I will swear to this day that no one was riding it. It magically pedaled out from the bar and over to me. Christmas is about magic and believing in what doesn’t seem possible. My great grandfather passed away shortly after but he gave me a very precious gift.
Sasha: My best Christmas memory is being a teenager and going out to spend my hard earned money on gifts for my family. It was just us four (Mom, Dad, Tiffy & I) that year but it was the most fun and happiest one I can remember. We all gave each other a seriously ridiculous Christmas sweater because nothing says, “I love you” like an ugly sweater. HEHE
Why do you write romance?
Romance is the ultimate journey that leads two people to forge an everlasting commitment between them. It’s about hope and courage, about laughter and pain. Best of all romance is found in just about any genre you touch. We like our romance served up with a dash of excitement, suspense and passion.
Are you a plotter or pantser? What is your routine?
Used to be a pantser but it became hard to figure out the next step, especially when you have two people writing long distance, so we switched over to outlining our stories first and pounding them out. Have to say it works better than telepathy.
One of us comes up with a brilliant idea. We pitch it to each other and the one that sticks we roll with it. We take about a week to figure out exactly the best angle for the story. Write up an outline. Then we hit it back and forth to each other via email every night, so the other one receives it in the morning and can work on it during the day. (Patrizia and I live in two different time zones so it works well). It takes approximately one month to bang out a new novella and three months for us to do a full novel.
What news would you like to share with your readers?
In 2012, we have the rest of our Shadow Warrior series, contemporary paranormal romances based on Aztec mythology coming out with Samhain Publishing! (YEAH!)
Also, we have something a little different, which is the Ever After trilogy, a modern romantic comedy set in the fantasy world of Fairyland.

December 26th, 2011 at 8:58 pm
Jersey City werewolves? Maybe that explains a bit about my upbringing!? And Hoboken? I hope it’s the more gentrified Hoboken of today and not the grittier Hoboken of my youth. I couldn’t wait to get out of Jersey City when I went to college. Now it’s hip…LOL!
catherinelee100[at]gmail[dot]com
December 27th, 2011 at 12:24 am
Are you a Jersey girl? I had a lot of fun setting this story in Jersey and fairyland. I think you’ll get a laugh out of it.

Always looking for new authors, Thanks for introducing me to this one!

Hi Tamara,
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you’ll find something of mine you’d like to try. I have a romantic suspense set in Puerto Rico in Dark Waters. My Shadow Warrior series mixes Aztec mythology in a contemporary setting. Finally, there is Charmed Ever After, a light humorous paranormal romance.
Enjoy!
December 27th, 2011 at 12:16 pm

December 27th, 2011 at 7:51 pm
I love the story premise for Charmed. That is one gorgeous cover, too. It sounds fantastic. I cannot imagine how it must work to write with a partner–especially long distance.
I wish you both every success.
December 27th, 2011 at 8:59 pm
Thank you Sarah. Sasha and I have been working together for years now. The partnership works for us, but I honestly can’t imagine writing as we do with anyone else. We have our crazy moments and getting Charmed Ever After went all the way to the wire, but I don’t regret a minute of it.
Best wishes for the New Year!
December 27th, 2011 at 7:55 pm
I didn’t know you were a writing team, how interesting
Thanks for sharing!
December 27th, 2011 at 9:10 pm
Hi Olivia,
Surprisingly, there are quite a few writing teams out there. While more are putting both names on the cover, several still use one name for two authors. What’s fascinating for me is that every team has their own method of writing together.
Sasha is an awesome partner and I’m lucky to have met her. ( :
Cheers!
December 27th, 2011 at 8:26 pm
Your books sound amazing. Can’t wait to delve into them.

Patrizia and Sasha, thank you for sharing your Christmas memories. They are very sweet. Some of my favorite memories come from simpler moments. The best gifts are those that have a lot of heart and thought put into them.

Happy New Year! Thank you for sharing a little with us.
You are a new author for me and I would like the chance to read your work.
December 29th, 2011 at 10:04 pm
Hi Renee, I do hope you will pick up one of my books. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Charmed Ever After is light and humorous, a sweet paranormal romance. Out of the Shadows, the first in my Shadow Warrior series, is darker as Aztec mythology is woven into a contemporary setting. And if you like straight romantic suspense, check out my first novel Dark Waters.
Thanks for stopping by and best wishes for the New Year!
