Release Party!
It’s Blog Wednesday! What do we have today…? It’s Mary Corrales! And it’s open bar! Wait, wait, not so fast…
Thank you to Romance Author Hotspot for hosting this party today, and helping me celebrate the release of my paranormal/vampire erotica, Tasting Camilla, through Breathless Press! The hero of the story, Vladislas, is a typical vampire in that he’s tall, dark and dangerous. What’s different is that he doesn’t apologize for who and what he is and isn’t looking to change. The nature of a vampire in its purest form is a blood drinker. When one is allowed to follow their true nature, they become quite the erotic creature.
I’ve always been intrigued by the darker vampires of film and novel. No one can tell me that the Vampire in the movie, Nosferatu, wasn’t sexy in his own demented, creepy way. Okay, so I even believe that The Creature from The Black Lagoon deserved to end up with the girl, but I’m a terrible romantic at heart.
In Tasting Camilla, I give you a view of a city at night where my heroine Camilla, meets her fate in Vladislas. Why you might ask, is this Camilla’s fate? Truthfully, I believe it’s because Vladislas is a creature of such power that only one woman like Camilla will ever be able to love him. As sometime, we find ourselves burdened in life with things we might not choose on our own, but it turns out that we (as we are) are the only ones able to handle this burden successfully. While difficulties aren’t chosen, we are all strong enough to face what comes at us and triumph. This is what I believe of Camilla.
So, fellow readers and authors alike, come lift a glass of your favorite beverage in toast to vampires who are true to their nature and the women strong enough to love them.
Leave a comment with your choice of drink and email address for a chance to win a free PDF copy of Tasting Camilla. I will choose the winner at Midnight Est. time. Cheers!
Mary Corrales
Camilla Ivanov never dreamed that being kidnapped by a group of vampires would lead to the most erotic sexual encounter of her life. Vladislas is a vampire master bored with life until Camilla’s blood awakens his deepest hungers. Locked together in a basement, who is the true captive?
Vampire bounty hunter Brandt has just betrayed his best friend Camilla to vampires. Vampiress Elisa gives herself to Brandt in payment for awakening her master, Vladislas—but will Brandt take much more than her body from her?

Sex on the Beach does sound good. As the day recedes, I can’t help but consider a Screaming Orgasm later.
